HOW YOU CAN BUY SHARES IN A BANKSY

Comments Off on HOW YOU CAN BUY SHARES IN A BANKSY art, Culture, lifestyle, my words, news, review, sara darling

There are art lovers, and art investors, but not many people can do both. However, thanks to the owner of the HOFA Gallery in Mayfair, investors can buy shares in selected artwork from the “XXI” collection, and part-own a slice of history.

This revolutionary scheme is the first of its kind in the UK, and is offering some very intriguing pieces of art. So if you have a spare $500, why not get in touch with A R T C E L S at HOFA.

A TASTE OF ITALY IN KNIGHTSBRIDGE

Comments Off on A TASTE OF ITALY IN KNIGHTSBRIDGE food, lifestyle, my words, review, sara darling

I headed to Maia in Knightsbridge to sample their (aherm) cocktails and rather delicious menu. It was a tough gig (not).

With a comprehensive drinks list, I whiled away some time perusing the offerings, and opted for the intriguing Balsamic Martini, which was refreshing to say the least! Other classics were available, but I??thought the tartness of the vinegar would kick start my taste buds, and it certainly did!

MY FAVE AW20 TRENDS FROM LONDON FASHION WEEK

Comments Off on MY FAVE AW20 TRENDS FROM LONDON FASHION WEEK fashion, my words, review, sara darling, style

LONDON FASHION WEEK has just left the building, and the Autumn-Winter trends for 2020 couldn’t have been more timely! Not that I am wishing my life away, but I could certainly wrap myself up in several of the key pieces right now! Roll on spring….

In the meantime, check out my report for IntoView magazine, and see if any of the collections get you excited…

Fashion is cyclical- trends are recycled and it’s hard to come up with something that is completely new. That is, unless you are deliberately re-jigging something old and transforming it with a new lease of life.

MASCULINITY THROUGH THE LENS AT THE BARBICAN

Comments Off on MASCULINITY THROUGH THE LENS AT THE BARBICAN Culture, flush magazine, lifestyle, my words, review

The theory behind the show is that men are more than their parts. In a world where men are seemingly less liberated, with TV showing peacocking males with hairless, chiseled bodies on Love Island and ‘reality TV’, the truth is, men throughout history have been portrayed in many different forms.?

VEGAN BITES IN COVENT GARDEN

Comments Off on VEGAN BITES IN COVENT GARDEN food, my words, review, sara darling

It’s Veganuary, but I am one step ahead of the game, as I went to sample the plant based delights from ‘By Chloe’ in London just before Christmas. Admittedly my halo didn’t last over the holidays, but I would most definitely pop back- if just for the spicy cauli balls!

Comments Off on HUNTINGTON BEACH IS THE PLACE TO BE THIS AUTUMN my words, news, review, sara darling, travel

CALIFORNIA’S HIDDEN GEM
Huntington Beach is one of those cool Californian cities, situated south east of Los Angeles. It’s known for its ten miles of sandy city beaches, stuffed to the brim with sun kissed surfers, families and beautiful people roller skating along the promenade.

So when the weather is looking gloomy in the UK, why not jump aboard a jet and head to Cali for some fun in the winter sun!

SHOE TRENDS FOR 2020

Comments Off on SHOE TRENDS FOR 2020 fashion, my words, news, review, sara darling, travel

When I was asked to go to Italy and do a shoe review, I thought my all my dreams had come true! After all, shoes and pizza are two of my favourite things…

But I remained completely professional and soaked up the shopping, consumer and style trends from WGSN like an extremely dry sponge… and saw some mighty fine shoes to boot!
