The New Garconne for modern girls who like to dress like boys!

A must read book for 21st century tomboys…

Meaning: A young woman of the 1920s who rebelled against conventional ideas of ladylike behaviour and dress. Otherwise interpreted as girls with attitude and a great sense of personal style.

Thankfully, this type of woman is still around today, and if you’re a slouchy trousers, white shirt and brogues kind of girl, this book will resonate with you.

Comments Off on AUTUMN FACE CREAM bblogger, lblogger, my words, news, review

My heating is turned on, and I am starting to get nesty; And even though I would love to hibernate for the whole of winter (just popping out to do Christmas related activities, of course) my lifestyle means I have to face the real world now and again!

So to look my best, I have been trying out something new from Sesderma. Choosing a deliciously luxuriant creme to assist in anti-aging- I had high hopes of feeling firmer and more hydrated as soon as I opened the tub.

Using a revolutionary new formula called Nanotechnology, there is an expansive range of C-Vit products to choose from. They get the name as they are full of Vitamin C, and everyone knows that this is the best way to stay healthy when the temperature drops. So it makes sense to put it on your face too. Right? So put it on I did, and younger, plumper and more juicy I felt! It only took a couple of days to get in to the pattern of twice a day moisturising, but now I am hooked, and the deeper you rub the product in, the more benefit you will get.

I feel quite nerdy when I tell people that it’s the anti-oxidants in my moisturiser which are making me look more luminous. But it’s true!

mercedes benz- central europe fashion week

Budapest might look like a pretty, historical city on the outside. But dig a bit further and you will find a very cool underground scene, including the newly established Mercedes Benz fashion week. It might only be for a weekend, but it’s early days, but talented, and experimental mens and womenswear designers showcasing in the Atrium on the Danube River, means it might make ripples in the international scene yet!

I was actually in Budapest for the CAFe (Contemporary Arts Festival) which is a two week showcase of cultural events across the city, and it was great to see another side of Budapest, and eat some of the most delicious pumpkin soup known to man! My taxi driver didn’t know where the pumpkins were sourced, but they were award winning, in my humble opinion!

It also meant that I could try out my new winter booties from Fit Flop. Super comfy, and ultra toasty with their sheepskin lining, they coped with the chilly temperatures perfectly! And were the perfect pairing after my rather ambitious outdoor swim at the Gelert pool and spa!

Comments Off on HAPPY 50 YEARS TO THE SUMMER OF LOVE IN SAN FRAN! blogger, fblogger, sara darling

I love a travel event, probably because I love to travel, so soaking up titbits of new and exciting destinations always gets me in a fluster!

This week I was delighted to visit a press event hosted by San Fransisco tourism, and along with (possibly one too many) gin cocktail, I got in the summer of love spirit, and embraced my inner hippy at the central London venue “Carousel”.

Along with the delicious cocktails, there walls were decorated with large sized murals, vintage prints from the sixties, and the best?psychedelic soundtrack to help the night go with a swing. Even the tacos were authentic! All I can say is roll on 2017- I think I can help the city celebrate it’s 50th in style!

With even more art and some very fancy fashion on my radar, it was a pleasure to rub shoulders with celebs including Tamsin Eccleston and Amber LeBon at the ETRO store, at the launch of ‘My Mother Was A Reeler’ which is?a limited edition capsule featuring a selection of scarves and a bespoke clutch bag, by British artist Victoria Morton. There were too many celebs to shake a stick at, and equal measures of champagne! It’s no wonder there were lots of bods on spill watch! But it’s such a gorgeous store- perfect for a party!

I enjoyed a few days by the seaside, cracking on with the first edit of issue 11 of 55Pages- can hardly believe it!!! It’s out a lot later than it usually is, as my partner in crime decided to get married, and pretty much shut down for the month of September!! But we’re back with a bang, and it’s looking hot hot hot!

I’ll have to step away from it this weekend though, as next stop is a press trip to Budapest. CAFe festival here I come….

Comments Off on FITFLOPS ARE POSSIBLY THE MOST COMFORTABLE SHOES EVER! fashion, fblogger, my words, news, review

When you need style and comfort, try FITFLOPS on your feet!

When I was invited to the FITFLOPS HQ in Putney last week, I was keen to see what the workers wore on their feet.. I questioned the newbie Digi Marketing Manager, John, who told me that FF’s weren’t compulsory, but they were just pretty popular! I was keen to investigate the latest collection to see why.

With the hashtag #forsuperwomen the campaign is taking London by storm- appearing all over double decker buses, tubes as well as the Chiswick roundabout. Shot in the south of France, the images sum up how super cool the brand is becoming, and now have reached a global audience, having launched in the US in June.

Still pioneering the exclusive ‘wobbleboard’ technology, each style is rigorously tested (by in house scientists no less) to make sure that the foot will stay comfortable all day long. ?Having upped their fashion credentials, the brand has now been styled in international fashion magazine shoots, and worn down the catwalk, in a very successful collaboration with NY designer Anna Sui.

With fashion and comfort, what are you waiting for? Check out the site to see what a treat for your feet actually looks like. I’m waiting for the temperature to drop, so I can get snuggly in the Mukluk shorty!
